SOCIAL  THINKING

by Michelle Garcia Winner

Ms. Winner is a renowned expert in speech and language pathology

who has worked with children & adults with social learning deficits for over 20 years.

She pioneered the concept of Social Thinking:

the ability to think about and understand other people.

How we think about people affects how we behave toward them,

which in turn affects how others see and respond to us.

THE MEETING IS FREE OF CHARGE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Coffee, tea & light fare will be served.  For more information and to RSVP,

AAACC 2012 Summer Camp Fair

PARTICIPANTS INVITED INCLUDE:

  • Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration
  • The Arc of Southern Maryland
  • Melwood Recreation Center (Camp Accomplish)
  • The Autism Project
  • Barstow Acres Children’s Center
  • Spring Dell Center

The AAACC understands that securing services for our children is like navigating a maze.  In fact, that’s one reason we chose the Pathfinder symbol for our logo.  The above listed agencies have been invited to attend our 2012 Summer Camp Fair to introduce the summer services and accommodations they have available to children and adults with autism spectrum disorders.

It is our goal to allow family members to talk to a number of agency representatives in one place and receive information directly from the representatives about the summer services the agencies and organizations can provide.

THE MEETING IS FREE OF CHARGE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Coffee, tea & light fare will be served.

For more information and to RSVP, please contact DUrsiny@asdcalvert.org.
